I'm Tinca, a PhD researcher studying the work of social media influencers in the Balkans.
Specializing in economic sociology and the sociology of work, I am particularly interested in how social media platforms impact non-western cultures and communities in the global periphery. I am also a content creator, using TikTok to communicate and promote sociology.
Currently, I am a fellow at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin, and I have previously held a fellowship at the University of Amsterdam. Additionally, I serve on the board of the EURODOC (European Council for Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers).
